Weekly Log – July 3, 2018 – Still Catching Up

Last week’s log:

MONDAY 0
TUESDAY 0
WEDNESDAY 0
THURSDAY 6,552
FRIDAY 6,809
SATURDAY 6,109

For a total of 18,470 words for the week.

As I mentioned in last week’s log post, Monday I was still dealing with fall-out from the weekend.  Tuesday and Wednesday turned into production catch-up days, as the admin and production had been equally as neglected as the writing.

This is a perfect example of what I mean about embracing routine and that a boring life enhances your creativity.  While I’m constantly missing days and playing catchup as I have been for the last few weeks, my word rate is dropping and I’m putting pressure on myself.  If I had just plugged away steadily, I’d be further ahead than I am now and not feeling any pressure.

However, I wrote the last book so fast, that I still have a few days up my sleeve.  I’m not yet behind my deadlines.

Time to buckle down.
