About
The Productive Indie Fiction Writer is dedicated to helping indie fiction authors get more out of their writing and their lives. Three major topics are covered:
- Productivity & Organization
- Fiction Writing
- Indie Publishing
In today’s indie fiction world, the ability to write and publish quickly, while still writing well, gives the indie author a powerful advantage.
Do you want to be prolific?
Being prolific and writing fast are learnable skills. I know that, because I live the life and trained myself to write faster, to aim for higher productivity, while still enjoying life. You’ll find lots of help on this site.
Are you already a prolific writer?
If you write very quickly, publishing many books each year, and have a huge backlist, you face unique challenges. I know all about those issues, for I deal with them myself. As of January 2020, my backlist had 165 unique titles and I’m adding titles every couple of weeks or so, including a full novel every five weeks.
You will find ideas, resources and strategies here that you won’t find anywhere else, for prolific indie authors are a new but growing demographic. Also check this page.
About Tracy
I have been writing professionally since 1999, won national awards, hit #1 on Amazon, and been published in hard cover, mass market paperback, trade paperback and ebooks. I’ve been traditionally published (35 titles) and since March 2011 have been 100% indie publishing.
I write in four major popular fiction genres; Romance, Mystery & Suspense, Science Fiction and Fantasy — many titles under two other pen names beside my own. I’ve won various awards, including the national Emma Darcy Award.
In 2019, I released my 100th novel (under just my own name). Currently, I’m at 120 novels or novellas, plus a great many more short stories and novelettes, boxed sets, anthologies and collections. And this is purely fiction.
I’ve written hundreds of articles and blog posts, mostly about the genres I write in, writing in general, the indie publishing industry and my personal favourite: Productivity & prolificacy. Many of those posts and articles can be found here on The Productive Indie Fiction Writer. Even more can be found on my author sites, including Tracy Cooper-Posey.com.
I’ve learned to write efficiently and well, how to manage a full time writing and publishing business that straddles seven sites, four blogs, and a social media network that covers all of them. Here on The Productive Indie Fiction Writer, I’ll pass along what I’ve learned, news about the industry, and more.
