The Write Stuff Story Bundle is Out

The Write Stuff 2026 Story Bundle dropped just a few minutes ago. You can find it here: https://storybundle.com/writing
Here is more about the bundle from curator Kristine Kathryn Rusch:
The 2026 Write Stuff Bundle – Curated by Kristine Kathryn Rusch
Long about January, I got the idea to do an all-exclusives StoryBundle. I knew we had our annual StoryBundle on writing coming up in April, and I figured if I asked nicely, I could get a dozen writers to come up with something new just for the bundle.
Most of these writers blog already. They’re experts in their field, not just in fiction, but also in nonfiction. They probably had books on the burner, raring to go.
I know I did. I have blogged for more than 15 years now about writing. That sentence sounds impressive, but it comes fraught with problems. You see, the world had changed a lot in the past fifteen years. The writing world is almost unrecognizable.
What was new and somewhat frightening in 2009—the Kindle and the rise of the ebooks—have become the norm today. Back when I started blogging, every single writer had the choice of two different paths. One was the traditional publishing path. The other was to do it all yourself.
Now, writers have dozens, maybe hundreds of paths to success. Advice that was great in 2016 is out of date in 2026. You don’t need to hire help to design beautiful books. You can get programs to help you. You’ll still need good art for your covers, but so many websites license art that you can use. You can develop your own videos quickly and easily. You can distribute your books through dozens of ebook sites worldwide with the push of a button.
As I looked at the myriad of writing books I’d published over the past 15 years, I realized most of the information in them was woefully out of date. I needed to revamp them or write a new book. I chose to do half and half. The Write Attitude contains evergreen advice from its first edition (published in 2015), but mostly it covers the writing world as it is.
I figured my writer/blogger friends were in the same boat. So when I contacted them, they all had something they were just finishing up or something that they needed to retouch. StoryBundle fans will see some familiar titles, but look closely. All of them are in new editions.
We have fourteen ebooks and one online writing workshop (also an exclusive) in this bundle. These books separate themselves into categories.
Because the world is fraught right now, all writers need help getting to the page. My book will help with that, as will T. Thorn Coyle’s Let Your Life Be Your Lightning, Ron Collins’s On Being (and Becoming Again) A Writer, and the workshop, Writing in Turbulent Times.
Then there are the craft books. Dean Wesley Smith’s Writing Novels with the Waltese Falcon shows you that no matter what you’re doing, you can still find time to write. J. Daniel Sawyer’s The Pitch Perfect Author will help you maintain your voice. Douglas Smith shows you how to build a story, Brick by Brick.
We have two books that straddle the divide between writing and publishing—in other words, those books will help you with both. Jamie Ferguson’s Bundle Up! will help you put together anthologies and boxed sets that sell. And Darcy Pattison’s Picture Books shows you how to write and market books for kids, something some say can’t be done without traditional publishing. (That’s so not true.)
Two more books will help with the overall writing career in 2026. Mark Leslie Lefebvre’s Stark Realities teaches all kinds of lessons on the business of writing and publishing. Tracy Cooper-Posey’sThe Indie Author Survival Guide is exactly that: a book chockfull of advice that writers need in these tough times.
Then we have the practical matters. Anthea L. Sharp’s brand-new edition of Kickstarter for Authors will help writers do early promotion on books and get paid to do so. Andrea Pearson’s The Independent Author Newsletter Playbook gives practical advice on how to build a newsletter that will support your writing career. Mindy Klasky’s The Rational Writer contains 52 promotional prompts so that you have ideas on promotion even when the well seems dry. And the updated version of Robert Jeschonek’s Authors and Interns will help you find assistance so that you can do all the things you discover inside of this bundle.
Remember! These books are exclusive. You won’t find them anywhere else…and you’ll get them at a discount.
So now’s the time to get your copy (or rather, your copies) of all of these books.
While you do so, please add a little money for our charity.
As I said, the world is fraught right now. Wars have proliferated across the globe. Here in the U.S., entire communities are scared to leave their homes. And then we have the usual (heartbreaking) disasters of fires, floods, hurricanes, and tornados.
World Central Kitchen does its best to feed people in the disaster zones. WCK describes itself this way: first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. As I write this, they’re on the ground in Missouri and Kentucky (as well as so many other places) to help after the devastating tornados there. WCK has served 600 million meals and counting.
I hope you pick up the bundle, and as you do, throw a bit of cash at WCK on your way out. You’ll be helping people as you help yourself.
Thanks so much! – Kristine Kathryn Rusch
