Total for the week: 28,231 words.

A couple of wobbly days, but I finally got a handle on things by the end of the week. I’ve sorted out my schedule and what I need to do to get back on track.

I reread Steven Pressfield’s classic The War of Art, which helped me reground. A quote from the book that always helps me:

The payoff is that playing the game for money produces the proper professional attitude. It inculcates the lunch-pail mentality, the hard-core, hard-head, hard-hat state of mind that shows up for work despite rain or snow or dark of night and slugs it out day after day.

The War of Art, Steven Pressfield

I think that playing the game for wordcount is analogous.

This week, still working to be consistent and steady, despite the first of the month madness.
